Here we are again in a new year, so it’s time for a new blog tuneup. In the past, I’ve always kept comments disabled on my blog because I don’t want to wade through the cesspool of spam and trolls that inevitably result from allowing open comments. At the same time, it’s impossible to tell if anything here is helpful or thought-provoking to anybody when there’s no way to contact me.

This year, I’ve decided to enable comments, but only through email. The bottom of each post now has a link that will start an email with an appropriate subject. This isn’t my first rodeo, so I know better than to post my real email address; these addresses are going to be heavily filtered.

No promises that I’ll respond to any email sent through this blog, but I hope to try for any comments or questions that don’t seem completely vacuous.
